TAEP/AAP has updated the traditional architecture of the Northern Gulf with a cylindrical house surrounded by towering walls in Al Khiran, Kuwait. Designed in 2023, White Fortress contrasts its arid surroundings with an interior filled with spacious rooms, views of the Gulf Sea, and various oval-shaped patios and gardens. A rooftop tower acts as a “seacoast lighthouse”, framing sandy vistas.

Apartment A1, designed by Radovan Sepo Valenta, is located in Bratislava, Slovakia. This apartment showcases contemporary sophistication and practical artistry with a modern exterior and a well-lit interior. The design features high ceilings, herringbone floors, and artful indoor-outdoor harmony, providing an inviting urban retreat that encapsulates modern living in Slovakia.

Carlo Donati Studio has renovated a 350-square-metre apartment, called Time Capsule, located in Milan’s Brera district. Completed in 2022, the design incorporates elements inspired by figures such as Jean Prouvé and references the aesthetic codes of postwar Milan. The interiors feature a mix of materials, geometric shapes, and art pieces, including a graffiti by British artist Stik, emphasising a richly layered, unconventional residential space.

Ignazio Mortellaro has transformed a 300-year-old Sicilian farmhouse into a sustainable, energy-efficient retreat called Casa Balat. Located in Noto, Italy, the project seamlessly integrates traditional materials with state-of-the-art green technology, like a geothermal system for air conditioning and water heating.

Casa Balat features an open-air shala for yoga, a saltwater pool, gardens, and a Bulthaup kitchen, all designed to minimize carbon footprint while providing luxurious and sustainable agriturismo accommodations.

Laura Ortín Arquitectura has decorated its own office, L’aura Ortin Office, in Murcia, Spain, with circular shapes and soft textures. Designed in 2025, the office is a geometric and sculptural room outlined by muted colors and tactile surfaces, featuring locally sourced materials including travertine and marble. Inside, a small green-hued reception area formed by resin walls provides visitors with seclusion and privacy before entering the open office, including a deep-green conference room and pink bathroom.

Czech studio Senkyr Architekti has completed the Architect’s Loft in Prague, a residential conversion of an abandoned attic space. Working with limited resources, the architect focused on exposing the original historical elements like the chimney and wooden beams.

With a ceiling height of five meters, the 75-square-meter apartment features understated built-in furniture, including a glass partition and concealed storage, highlighting the old house’s historical features.

Joshi House is a single-family home in Bengaluru, India, designed by Anahata in 2023. The design balances art and architecture, creating personalized spaces while maintaining common areas for togetherness. The house features geometric volumes, with a cantilevering circular balcony as a standout element.

The interior mirrors this circular volume, enhancing flow and cohesion. Clean lines, natural light, and brass elements characterize the decor, blurring boundaries between personal reflection and shared experiences.

Lehit House, designed by MAKHNO Studio in Odesa, Ukraine, embodies lightness and natural beauty with large windows and a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. Completed in 2022, the home features minimalist interiors with natural stone, clay textures, and bespoke lighting that reflect Ukrainian culture and MAKHNO’s distinctive style, offering a tranquil yet vibrant living environment.
