The desire was to create a dynamic system of spaces able to adapt to the different needs of its inhabitants. The design features two rounded and polychrome volumes, which are the fulcrum of the house. The project’s specific interventions allowed for the connection of the living room and kitchen through a monochrome passage that seems dug out from the wall. Opposite to the idea of the digging, the long sides of the living room retain the purity of fine-grained plastered surfaces. The short sides, on one hand, are lined and defined by furniture serving the dining table, on the other, by a bench in Guatemala marble and a sliding wood paneling. Neutral tones and cool colours, such as grey and white, are counterbalanced by wood of the flooring and the fixed furnitures, interrupted only by the green of the Guatemala marble.
