MDF for a Cozy Attic in Barcelona by MH.AP features built-in furniture and storage elements made from matte-finish MDF to create a more spacious atmosphere. The compact apartment is transformed with multifunctional spaces, including a corridor accommodating kitchen and wardrobes on one side and a desk and dressing area on the other.
The Silvia & Diego apartment, designed by MH.AP in 2023, is located in Barcelona’s Eixample district. This renovation transformed a once-segmented space into an open, interconnected living area. By integrating the kitchen centrally and removing walls, MH.AP optimized circulation and increased natural light. The design respects the flat’s original fan-shaped layout, ornate ceiling, and Nolla mosaic floor tiles, using bold colors and geometric shapes to create a harmonious dialogue between past and present.
Loft & Studio for Marcel by MH.AP transforms an abandoned basement storage space in Barcelona into a versatile living area. Designed around two patios, the project features exposed Catalan vaults and thick old concrete walls for thermal comfort.
A custom-made plywood kitchen, oak flooring, and carefully placed outdoor elements enhance the open-plan interior, utilising natural light and vintage tiles for a bright, airy atmosphere.
