Inserting the footprint of an old childhood home into a small plot in Bangkok, Thailand, Beautbureau designed a contemporary Thai three-bedroom house with black latticed pavilions. The new property, named #11 II, incorporates memories of the original two-bedroom, two-storied structure with design aspects like courtyards and terraces that mimic the vernacular Thai house known as Ruen Thai.

Atelier Ornelas has created a unique vacation home in Portugal that reflects both Scandinavian minimalism and innovative material use, cladding the exterior in Basalto stone. Tasked with creating a retreat by an investor, head architect André Ornelas Gonçalves chose a minimalist approach, with strategic wood-framed windows that foster a connection to the surroundings.

This premium house, nestled within the Dubai Hills residential development, presents a monolithic cubist aesthetic, with a façade clad in beige grey travertine marble slabs and restricted openings that reflect an introverted approach. The design celebrates the interplay of light and shadow, with a custom-designed metal screen shielding the double-height entrance lobby from the excessive sunlight.
