Dom Arquitectura used contrasting white and stone for the exterior of this house in Tarragona, Spain. Aiming to reference Roman city walls, the building is composed of two forms. On the ground floor, a stone facade opens up to a garden, while on the first floor, a white structure features balconies and terraces. The property, designed in 2018, also prioritises climate efficiency, using thermal insulation panels to prevent thermal bridges.

Located in the Cerdanya Valley in Spain, the House in Puigcerda by Dom Arquitectura utilises native stone and wood for a warm and cohesive design. inHouse has completed a streamlined stuccoed home on Mallorca that features cantilevered forms angled to maximize sunlight across different times and seasons of the year and blend into the Balearic woodland setting. Composed of pale volumes with earth-hued accents, the Prefabricated Luxury Villa fits into the Costa de la Calma neighborhood of Calvià, known for its terraced vegetation and narrow roads. The structure was positioned to sit high off the street with panoramic sea views.

Andrea + Joan Arquitectes designed the House on the Woods in Tarragona, Spain. Designed in 2023, the project features the rehabilitation of an old rural dwelling and its surroundings. It is conceived as an occasional residence, intended as a refuge integrated into the forest.

The preexisting dwelling lies within a set of disused stone walls, where a Mediterranean forest of pine and oak trees has grown over the years, creating a synergy between the architecture and the landscape.

Madrid-based Casa Antillón reimagined a former cluttered attic into “A Doorless House” for their clients’ children and guests. Avoiding traditional room hierarchies, the design emphasizes flexible living spaces around a central hearth. By incorporating a fragmented curved wall, the interior separates public and private areas while allowing natural light from skylights to fill the spaces. This approach ensures a functional yet interaction-friendly environment within the 70-square-meter Madrid apartment.
