This deep retrofit of a house on the North Norfolk coast was designed by Studio 163 in 2024. Reimagined from its history as a butcher shop, Blue House serves as a holiday getaway for a large family and their friends, featuring a combining of spaces and the use of materials that respond to the site’s history of flooding.

BAAO combined deep colors, textured shapes, and marble accents to create a dramatic interior for this Boerum Hill townhouse. Designed to accommodate entertaining, the spaces include a curved sofa in the parlor and a marble-topped kitchen island. Unique touches like a gold painted relief and smoked glass sconces add character throughout the home. The primary suite features soft lavender gray plaster and stained oak elements, while outdoor areas are finished in travertine checkerboard.

La Clara is a breathtaking loft crafted by CRÜ in 2021. This endeavor distinguishes itself through its groundbreaking methods regarding both spatial arrangement and material choice. By excavating an antiquated establishment, CRÜ metamorphosed a chaotic inner block into a tranquil residential haven. The quintessence of the design mirrors a sharp perception of both functionality and aesthetics.

Designed for a young couple in Londrina, Brazil, the Praia Apartment by Ser Arquitetos is a 181 m² apartment that showcases a harmonious blend of modern and beach-inspired elements. The project maintained the original layout while creating a comfortable, cozy environment through the use of neutral tones, natural materials, and carefully curated furnishings. With a spacious social area, three suites, and a service area, this apartment offers a welcoming and versatile living space that reflects its residents’ desire for a truly inviting home.
