About Loke Thye Kee Residences
Reviving Romance: A Modern Twist on the 1900s
In the heart of Georgetown, Loke Thye Kee Residences breathes new life into the romance of the early 1900s. This unique establishment skillfully blends historical charm with contemporary elegance, creating an immersive living experience.
A Fusion of Past and Present
Nestled within five pre-war shophouses, Loke Thye Kee Residences offers an exclusive retreat. These residences, adjacent to the renowned Loke Thye Kee restaurant, provide five luxurious suites. Each suite, designed around the traditional shophouse layout, features a lush garden forecourt and a private balcony. Additionally, soaring pitched roofs enhance the suites, which boast spacious living areas and fully equipped pantry spaces (kitchens).
The design harmoniously intertwines traditional and modern elements. Traditional timber hardwood floors, contrasted with cutting-edge contemporary fixtures, create a striking visual impact. Original brick walls, enriched with hidden LED lighting, complement the transparent glass boxes that house the vanity and wardrobe areas. These innovative design choices seamlessly blend into the room, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
A Holistic Branding Experience
MOD’s expertise extends beyond architecture, encapsulating all aspects of branding and in-room collateral. This comprehensive approach includes a variety of unique features: a quirky pillow menu, a local street food map, a room service menu, and a TV menu. The artwork, specially commissioned for the project, captures the essence of historic Penang within a modern framework.
In summary, Loke Thye Kee Residences stands as a testament to the elegant fusion of past and present, offering guests an experience that is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.
