About Englefield House
From Old to Gold: The Englefield Road Makeover
143 Englefield Road went from old, worn-out apartments to a bright, modern home. The big question was, how can you mix modern comforts with a house full of history? When Developer East Eight first bought this old Victorian house, it was in rough shape. But with the help of Amrita Mahindroo from Droo Projects, it changed into something special. They added new, modern touches but also kept the home’s old charm alive.
A Blend of Old and New
This big house has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. It’s a mix of open spaces and classic rooms, just like old Victorian houses have. The main living area starts with an old-style room. Then, as you move on, it turns into a cool movie and TV room. This change is easy to spot because the dark, old colors turn into bright, fresh whites.
Each room has its own special lights, which make them feel cozy. The house is mostly in black and white, from the built-in shelves to the window designs. The fancy kitchen leads to a nice outdoor garden space. Here, you can find many small, comfy spots to relax in. The house feels big but also has many cozy corners, thanks to smart paint choices and design.
