About BZH Apartment
A Jetsetter’s Haven: The Fusion of Cultures in One Apartment
The owner of this unique apartment has spent the last two decades split between the buzzing metropolis of Hong Kong and the cosmopolitan charm of London. However, when in Kyiv, his home away from home is a private apartment situated in the heart of the city on Bolshaya Zhytomyrskaya Street.
The Aristocratic Appeal: A Blend of Historic Charm and Modern Luxury
This residence, located within an old building, boasts lofty ceilings approximately 4 meters (about 13 feet) high and offers a picturesque view over historic streets, creating an aura of aristocracy and prestige. Our mission was to fuse the comfort of a high-end hotel with personal touches that reflect the owner’s unique personality, placing a particular emphasis on emotional intelligence.
Rethinking Space: From Compact to Spacious Living
We started with a compact layout that necessitated a creative revamp to open up more living space. By skillfully transforming four relatively small rooms and a kitchen, we created a combined kitchen and living area, a versatile study that doubles as a guest bedroom, and a generously proportioned master bedroom complete with an en suite bathroom.
An Ode to Tradition: Infusing Classical Elements with Multicultural Accents
While the interior continues to honor its past with original gypsum moldings, we’ve introduced furniture and decor inspired by traditional English style. Additionally, we’ve interwoven striking Japanese elements, such as repurposing sake barrels as bedside tables, enhancing the overall multicultural ambiance of the apartment.
