About Modern Family
Modern Family: A Home for Generations
Nestled in Martis Camp, Modern Family is a home designed and built to endure for generations. The spacious floor plan provides ample space for privacy while also offering large family gathering areas for creating cherished memories. Set on a cul-de-sac, this property boasts one of the largest parcels in the subdivision.
Strategic Placement and Unique Features
The 10,000-square-foot home sits in the back corner of the lot, allowing for a lengthy, private driveway. One fascinating feature is the repurposing of a large sugar pine tree, which was removed from the garage area during excavation and transformed into a 30-foot-long (9.14 meters) picnic table in the backyard.
Board Form Concrete: A Key Architectural Element
The use of board form concrete inside and out serves as one of the main architectural designs. Crestwood Construction poured concrete in several stages, a process that lasted almost a year. The walls of the master bathroom are entirely made of concrete, and the entire section of the house, from the bottom of the footing to the top of the roof, stands at an impressive forty-two feet (12.8 meters) tall.
