Following a magnificent restoration, Tower Elvira has now opened in Puglia. Providing luxury hospitality and bespoke experiences across four uniquely designed suites within an 18th century tower and ancient masseria. Set on St Elia Ridge, the historic lookout tower offers unrivaled views of citrus groves, private parkland, a 40sqm swimming pool with colonnaded sun loungers and sister residence, Castle Elvira.
Offering the ultimate luxury service, the Tower Elvira team is on hand for all the guests’ needs. From the moment a guest enquires, the team will help to create tailored experiences for their stay, from culinary classes, portrait experiences and can even plan an exquisite party for a special occasion.
With design and art at the heart of this unique property, owner Steven Riseley worked closely with architects Filotico & Partner and employed specialist artisans to assist in the respectful restoration of the two historic structures and surrounding gardens. Whilst the suites are now equipped with modern, state of the art technology and contemporary design details, Riseley has ensured these details are carefully hidden amongst a mix of antique furnishings and design elements, ensuring the design remains authentic with a contemporary twist. Each of the rooms feature carefully curated art works, including a selection of new pieces by Elvira’s resident artist Harvey B-Brown.
Now home to two stunning guest suites, the tower was originally built in the 18th Century and was thought to have been created as the lookout tower for the Saint Elia Monastery. Star vaulted ceilings, meet supersized Timothy Oulton beds and exquisite design fixtures. The ensuite bathrooms feature powerful rainfall showers with luxury fittings from IB Rubinetti with a sunken bath in the Park Suite and hand carved sandstone bath on the private terrace of the Top Suite.
The ancient masseria features two beautifully designed en-suite bedrooms sleeping up to five guests. Each suite boasts a private garden with barbeques for an exclusive dining experience. Additionally the suites features a two-person, hand carved, sandstone bathtubs within the private garden (Agave Suite) or extra-large ensuite (Pepper Suite). The split level Agave Suite, with its own lounge area with open fireplace, is suitable for up to three guests.
Guest Suites
The Tower Top Suite
Our luxury Tower Top Suite offers stunning views over our private citrus orchard and pool. This premium suite boasts a magnificent triple height star vaulted ceiling lit by a bespoke oversized Murano glass Volcano style chandelier. The suite features a super sized 240cm round bed and luxurious extras, including a large open fireplace, a hidden en suite bathroom with a powerful rainfall shower, an elegant mirrored vanity station and a cosy lounge area with views over Elvira’s private parkland through the Tower’s original round window. An original stone staircase leads you up to the Tower’s exclusive roof terrace with a two person hand carved, round sandstone alfresco bath tub, from which you can enjoy the 360° views of the surrounding countryside and nearby villages.
The Tower Park Suite
With direct access from its own private garden, the garden suite is one of our most sought after suites. Featuring an en suite bathroom with a sunken bath and powerful rainfall shower which is hidden behind an original 1960’s illuminated tree of life mirrored screen. The suite offers a super king size Timothy Oulton Aviator bed and is packed with extraordinary features and furnishings including the impressive exposed stone star vault ceilings, a museum piece, antique wood burning stove and an incredible hand cut ancient well in the private garden. The garden has a large sun umbrella and BBQ facilities for a wonderful al fresco private dining experience.
The Masseria Pepper Suite
Our stylish Masseria pink pepper suite offers an array of luxury amenities and features. The unusual multi star vaulted ceilings in this suite are exceptionally beautiful. The super king size bed has a Timothy Oulton carved wooden and buttoned leather headboard and the en-suite bathroom is accessed through full width crittall glass doors. The ensuite has a beautiful two person hand carved sandstone bathtub and a powerful rainfall shower The suite boasts a private walled garden with an outdoor shower, a large sun umbrella and BBQ facilities for a wonderful al fresco private dining experience.
The Masseria Agave Garden suite
The masseria Agave suite offers split level accommodation. The upstairs bedroom has exposed stone walls and a king size polished cement bed. The original masseria ancient bread oven is now converted into the suite’s en-suite bathroom with a sunken bath and a powerful rainfall shower. Downstairs is a vanity station, a large original open fireplace and a luxury sofa bed which can increase the capacity of the room to three guests. The suite’s beautiful private garden is complete with a 2 person hand carved alfresco sandstone bath tub, a rainfall shower, a large sun umbrella, an outdoor dining table and BBQ facilities which are perfect for private dining and relaxation.
