About IZZA

Located within the vibrant Medina of Marrakech, IZZA is a captivating boutique art hotel that seamlessly blends traditional Moroccan design with contemporary elegance. This project, masterfully crafted over eight years, is a testament to the vision of renowned designer Bill Willis.

A Sanctuary of Luxurious Indulgence

IZZA comprises 14 individually designed rooms, each named after the hedonistic free spirits of the 1960s and 70s, such as Yves Saint Laurent, Jack Kerouac, and Grace Jones. This luxurious sanctuary offers a tranquil respite from the bustling energy of the Red City, with three peaceful courtyards, swimming pools, and a rooftop dipping pool.

Embracing Moroccan Hospitality and Wellness

Guests can indulge in the on-site spa treatment room and hammam, as well as the only fitness center in Marrakech equipped with Peloton bikes and a Tonal smart gym. The rooftop terrace offers a serene setting for bespoke cocktails and a menu that celebrates local, seasonal, and sustainable Moroccan flavors with a modern European twist.

A Immersive Art Experience

Art is at the heart of IZZA, with over 300 pieces showcasing contemporary Moroccan works alongside a remarkable collection of digital and generative art from around the world. Highlights include an installation of 24 prints from Sebastião Selgado’s ‘Amazonia’ NFT release, 10 artworks from A.I. artist Refik Anadol, and moving images from Ethiopian rising star Yatreda.

Redefining Luxury Hospitality

The visionary behind IZZA is Rémi Delpech, a seasoned hospitality professional with a deep understanding of luxury service and a passion for creating memorable experiences. Inspired by his upbringing in a welcoming family in southwest France, Rémi has crafted IZZA as a refined “house of friends,” where the legendary hospitality of the Berber people is celebrated.

Architectural Mastery and Cultural Influence

The architect behind IZZA is the esteemed Amine Kabbaj, a leading figure in the Moroccan art scene and the executive president of the Marrakech Biennale. Over the past eight years, Amine has meticulously blended traditional Moroccan design elements, such as tadelakt walls and zellige detailing, with contemporary luxurious touches, creating a harmonious and immersive experience.
