L’aura Ortin Office by Laura Ortín Arquitectura
Laura Ortín Arquitectura has decorated its own office, L’aura Ortin Office, in Murcia, Spain, with circular shapes and soft textures. Designed in 2025, the office is a geometric and sculptural room outlined by muted colors and tactile surfaces, featuring locally sourced materials including travertine and marble. Inside, a small green-hued reception area formed by resin walls provides visitors with seclusion and privacy before entering the open office, including a deep-green conference room and pink bathroom.
Geometric Design
The office is characterized by two cylindrical volumes: a deep-green conference room and a pink bathroom.
Ortín likened the office to a home for LAAO (Laura Ortin Arquitectura Office).
“Our office is translated into an apartment again, it is a comfortable and pleasant space to inhabit, as if you were in your living room at home,” she continued.
“We spend a lot of time in this place and it is important to be in an environment that makes us feel comfortable to perform better.”
“We geometrically organize the space around three round volumes,” said Ortín.
“These geometric pieces are remaining from the previous design that are left untreated clean and bare.”
“An eternal garden is also an important part of the space,” said Ortín.
“A trellis parterre with light curved curtains allows a place of relaxation and privacy for when you need it.”
Locally sourced materials
A small, closed-off reception area provides visitors with privacy from the open office, characterized by green and pink resin slabs that double as benches.
“In the centre and as a prelude to the independent volumes is a closed welcoming space, a mini space where you can sit through your reflections and calmly wait for your turn,” added Ortín.
“The pink mosaic tiles combined with red in the bathroom are especially curious because that cute and seductive color and geometric reverberation is repeated in everything else,” said Ortín.
“The wood combined with golden details is the perfect union between wow effect and comfort.”
