Casa Patios by Remyarchitects
Casa Patios, a house designed by Remyarchitects, is located in Pilar, Argentina. Completed in 2024, the residence emphasizes indoor-outdoor connections, utilizing strategically placed patios to enhance natural light and cross ventilation. The design features an open-plan social area surrounded by multiple courtyards, and a gallery that seamlessly connects interior and exterior spaces.

The house’s main entrance is centrally positioned, featuring an interior patio framed by a vertical wooden enclosure. This patio welcomes visitors into the core social area on the ground floor, which adopts an open-plan concept integrating the living room, dining room, and kitchen. From this central space, four distinct patios surround the house. The entrance patio lies to the south, a service patio visually connected to the kitchen is to the east, a patio marking the end of an internal path is to the west, and the main patio extends to a gallery and garden to the north.

Casa Patios’ gallery, conceived as an intermediate space, provides a seamless transition between interior and exterior, with large openings framing the landscape and allowing ample daylight. This approach not only connects occupants to their environment but also optimizes the home’s thermal and energy efficiency.

On the upper floor, the private program is clearly delineated into two sections. One side features the master suite with direct garden views, while the other comprises secondary bedrooms connected by a central living area opening to an internal patio. This organization emphasizes greenery as a central design element.

The project incorporates green terraces on the upper level, extending interactions with vegetation and balancing materials such as concrete for a warmer, more natural atmosphere. Casa Patios represents an architecture where patios and terraces are design tools blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, fostering a spatial experience in constant dialogue with nature.
