OASI by Flussocreativo Design Studio

Spanning 97 square meters (1,044 square feet) of interior space, plus over 40 square meters (430 square feet) of outdoor space across two balconies, OASI is a newly built apartment in Concesio, Italy, designed in 2024 by Flussocreativo Design Studio. Involving early-stage construction of only the pillars and floors, the studio shaped the open-plan spaces based on the owners’ current lifestyles and needs, with an exclusive indoor-outdoor dynamic.

OASI Balances Soft Aesthetics, Fluid Function in Concesio Apartment Design

A newly built apartment, designed from the outset to reflect the owners’ lifestyle. The Flussocreativo studio was involved from the early stages of construction, when only the pillars and floors had been completed: an ideal condition for shaping the spaces without constraints, based on the real needs of living. Instead of the four-room apartment initially planned, a spacious and airy three-room apartment was created, with a large open-plan living area and a layout defined on paper before work began.

The apartment covers 97 square meters (1,044 square feet) of interior space, plus over 40 square meters (430 square feet) of outdoor space on two balconies. But the real outdoor heart of the apartment is the flat roof of the same size, for exclusive use, transformed into a true elevated urban oasis with a private swimming pool, gazebo, living area, and a utility room equipped with a laundry and storage room.

Internally, the choice of plasterboard for the partitions allowed for great compositional freedom and the introduction of distinctive elements such as the double arch between the dining room and kitchen. The project focuses on soft lines and refined details, enhanced by a sophisticated palette: from the commodore green of the kitchen to the sage of the living room and the Filicudi blue of the sleeping area. A chromatic consistency that visually accompanies the rooms and reinforces their identity.

The open space is the heart of the home, characterized by retro and ethnic influences: herringbone parquet flooring in stained oak, vintage diamond-cut tiles enhanced by LED strips in the sofa niche, and a kitchen framed by two arches, with jungle walls that add depth and character. A harmonious and welcoming ensemble, where the volumes interact in balance.

Two large windows connect the living area to the covered terrace-loggia, paved in wood-effect stoneware and furnished with a table and armchairs. A green wall with plants of different species ensures privacy and visual continuity with the interior, making this space a true extension of the living room.

The sleeping area is designed for comfort. The master bedroom is conceived as a small suite, with a sleeping area, study with window, and walk-in closet. The blue walls punctuate the volumes and feature decorative wallpaper that adds depth. The two bathrooms, both in the sleeping area, offer privacy and functionality: the first is reserved for the master bedroom, while the second, larger bathroom is organized with a column separating the toilet from the sink area. Here, the palette warms up with soft pink, yellow, and ceramic and resin surfaces that amplify the brightness.

Finally, a communal staircase leads to the exclusive rooftop, a true outdoor extension of the home designed for conviviality and well-being. The swimming pool, gazebo, lounge area, and technical room interact with a residential context designed to enhance outdoor spaces as an integral part of domestic life. The complex is built according to criteria of sustainability and energy efficiency: external insulation, centralized underfloor heating, controlled mechanical ventilation, and photovoltaic systems.

This house embodies a contemporary vision of living: bright, fluid, personal. Every choice, from the layout to the color, is the result of a project built around those who live there. A place where aesthetics and functionality find an authentic balance, designed to last over time.
