The Origami Apartment is located in Curitiba, Brazil; designed by Tulli Studio; and encompasses 82 square meters (883 square feet). The project is a sophisticated, minimalist home filled with meaning that combines Japanese culture, natural materials, and a custom design to embrace the residents’ history.
Located in the Boa Vista neighborhood of Curitiba, the Origami Apartment spans 82 m² and is the perfect representation of a home that warmly embraces the cultural roots of an Eastern family with beauty and functionality. The project was developed with a thoughtful eye toward the residents’ history, highlighting natural materials, subdued tones, and minimalist solutions that reflect the elegance and essence of Japanese culture.
The color palette was designed to convey balance and subtlety: dark tones, wood textures, and cement-like finishes create harmonious and layered environments. Wood appears as a central element in various spaces, reinforcing the connection with nature and adding a welcoming touch to the home’s atmosphere.
Every choice in the Origami Apartment was made with intention and sensitivity from the finishes and materials to the custom-designed cabinetry details. The result is a sophisticated, minimalist home filled with meaning a space that honors ancestry while translating the residents’ way of life into a modern expression.
