Tet&Ris Sets a Quiet Mood for Sustainable Living
Tet&Ris is a family apartment in Kyiv, Ukraine, designed by Bogdanova Bureau with a clear brief: refined comfort anchored in durable, natural materials. Across rooms tuned for daily life, the interior favors calm light, tactile finishes, and crafted pieces that hold up to use. The home reads poised yet practical, with open living, private retreat zones, and measured detail shaping a grounded, contemporary address.

Warm light slides across marble and wood as the elevator doors part. A soft hush follows underfoot, where parquet sets the rhythm and brass edges catch a faint glow.
This is a family apartment in Kyiv by Bogdanova Bureau, composed around durable natural materials and a serene palette. The throughline centers on interior palette and furnishing—how texture, tone, and crafted elements shape use and mood. Every room favors longevity and sensory clarity, aligning environmental responsibility with daily comfort.
Set Materials to Work
Marble, wood, brass, and tactile textiles establish the home’s foundation and tempo. Locally made parquet by Levens carries from entry to living room, where subtle brass inlays punctuate thresholds (a small glint, a useful guide). Furniture by Ukrainian makers sits alongside global pieces, so the palette broadens without noise. Art acquired at charity auctions adds cultural weight and a human note to the calm.
Kitchen as Social Engine
An Italian-made kitchen centers everyday life, built by Valcucine with an ergonomic layout and integrated V-ZUG appliances. The island doubles: a practical work counter by day, an easy gathering point at night. Dining aligns nearby with a Long Island table and upholstered chairs, while a Harper sofa and low table create a lounge for music and conversation. Layered lighting by Vibia warms surfaces and keeps edges soft.
Crafted Moments in Service Rooms
In the guest bathroom, a red marble sink turns functional ritual into a brief encounter with color and mass. Cea Design fittings, Articulo lighting, and those brass lines in oak underfoot tie the small room back to the larger story. Each junction feels deliberate, yet nothing shouts; the materials carry the scene. Practical needs meet clear geometry, and maintenance stays straightforward.
Quiet Retreat, Layered Comfort
The master bedroom leans into rest, anchored by a tailored bed and a gentle arch with built-in lights. A marble partition gives privacy to a walk-in wardrobe with a bio fireplace and a full-length mirror, easing morning routines—then softening the room at dusk. The master bathroom extends the calm with travertine, microcement, and wood veneer, concluding with a freestanding tub that invites unhurried time. Lighting by Articolo and precise fittings keep the tone warm and steady.
Rooms that Grow
Children sleep and play in a compact setup that treats storage as architecture, not afterthought. A bunk solution carves out a nook for play, while a simple desk and chair keep focus on making and learning (paper, pencils, daylight). Their bathroom stays bright with light tones and Caribbean marble, reading cheerful without becoming fragile. The layout adapts as needs change, so nothing feels fixed in time.
Back in the main rooms, sound drifts from the audio system as marble cools the hand and wood warms the eye. Craft, not gloss, does the heavy lifting. The apartment closes where it began—in good light and honest materials, tuned for years of use.
