Casa CDB by Andrea Guardo
Casa CDB is a 2025 house in San Gregorio di Catania, Sicily, Italy, shaped by Andrea Guardo. The project reworks a 1990s residence near Etna, keeping travertine and the existing color palette in view. Inside, the staircase organizes movement, while new stone finishes, built-in storage, and a renewed garden bring the interiors and exterior into closer contact.

About Casa CDB
Designed in the 1990s in a prestigious residential area near the capital of Etna, Casa CDB is transformed through a project that reshapes the interiors and restyles the exterior while retaining characteristic elements such as travertine and the original colors.
The interior unfolds around the staircase, which becomes the key element in organizing movement and visual perception at every level. Marble-effect stoneware and large cement-effect slabs define the floors throughout the home.
Furnishings combine iconic pieces with custom-made elements that connect with the partitions, forming storage units, bookcases, and utility rooms. Care also extends to the indoor-outdoor relationship and the garden, which is enhanced with a swimming pool and reorganized with close attention to the balance between soft and hard landscape, planting, and lighting.
