About Apartment in Tel-Aviv
A New Chapter in Tel Aviv
A couple, transitioning from Berlin’s urban rush to Tel Aviv’s vibrancy, embarked on their retirement journey. With careers in real estate and advertising, they sought a city that matched their love for the metropolitan pulse. Tel Aviv, a natural fit for their next chapter, beckoned.
Embracing Compact Elegance
Despite the city’s soaring real estate market, they discovered an 80 square meter (861 square feet) gem. This two-bedroom apartment, with a sunny balcony framed by a palm tree, sat on a lively street. They soon reached out to “Bronstein-Bracha Architecture & Design,” ready to craft their compact dream home.
Designing for Family and Legacy
With frequent visits from family, a guest room with a private bath was essential. The design team dove into the couple’s rich history, drawing inspiration for a home that would juxtapose Tel Aviv’s modernist lines with Berlin’s retro flair.
Guests are welcomed by a dark concrete wall, leading to a serene living space. A discreet service area houses laundry essentials and ushers into the multi-use guest room. Opposite, a guest bath offers convenience without disrupting the couple’s routine. Dark tiles and subdued lighting infuse a touch of Berlin’s underground scene.
The living area, bright and airy, opens to a kitchen and dining space, basking in southern light. Dark furnishings contrast with white walls, echoing the entry’s boldness. The main bedroom, a study in intimacy, features expansive oak and cleverly concealed storage, while the en suite bath contrasts with lighter, refined touches and warm oak accents.
This home stands as a testament to the couple’s life journey, a perfect blend of Tel Aviv’s spirit and Berlin’s soul.
