About The Middle House
The Middle House: Where Tradition Meets Modernity
Our project brought new life to the Middle House Hotel and Residences, first designed by Wong and Ouyang. The hotel boasts 111 rooms, several dining options, event spaces, pools, and a spa. Also, the Middle House Residences offer 102 apartments, ranging from simple studios to larger one and two-bedroom units.
A Fresh Look: Revamping the Facade
For the facade, we chose rounded aluminum louvers. These not only shade and protect the guestrooms but also add a unique, textured look to the building’s exterior. This smart design helps the buildings stand out among their commercial neighbors.
Inside the Lobby: Mixing the Old with the New
Moreover, the lobby’s interior design is a mix of different styles. We paired traditional local crafts with modern elements. This mix creates a welcoming space that blends the past with the present, giving guests a unique and rich experience.
