About Apartment 15

A Harmonious Blend of Historic and Contemporary

In a historic center apartment, ancient architectural layers coexist harmoniously with modern decor. This masterpiece hails from Project Studio Parisotto + Formenton Architetti.

Preserving Centuries of History in Padua

The renovation zeroes in on an apartment nestled in a fifteenth-century building in ancient Padua. Every effort focused on preserving tales etched by time.

Bridging the Old with the New

Modern details and materials now complement the building’s centuries-old features. New works delicately balance age-old architecture with sleek, updated furnishings. Hidden behind false ceilings were wooden beams. After strengthening, they now show proudly, finished with a consistent brown hue, highlighting the desired architectural beauty. Natural herringbone oak floors, adorned with a band and border, echo classic Italian traditions from 20th-century bourgeois homes.

Color Contrasts and Architectural Details

Warm wooden hues playfully contrast with the pristine white walls. A new plaster frame encircles the rooms, connecting horizontal and vertical elements and accentuating dark ceilings.

Retaining Authenticity

Preserved charming doors from the early Twentieth Century now flaunt frosted glass. Original wooden doors and windows stand as testimonials to the multiple renovations over time.

Modern Flair in a Historic Setting

Monochromatic modern and vintage furnishings with subtle color pops redefine the ambiance. This 200-square meter (approximately 2,153 square feet) home unveils layers of updates and the beautiful dance of old and new. From 1400 till now, this residence showcases six centuries of reinvention, capturing the essence of both preservation and modern minimalism.
