About Cerâmica Apartment

Designed by Paula Aveiro Arquitetos, the Cerâmica Apartment in São Paulo is organized around material continuity and a restrained palette. Within its 240 sqm, the project uses texture, light, and a clear sequence of rooms to define daily life without visual noise.

Natural wood, stone, soft-toned marble, and woven fabrics set the tone throughout. Sand and beige shades carry from one room to the next, giving the apartment a steady rhythm and a sense of permanence.

The social area is arranged as one generous volume. Living and dining sit together, anchored by a natural stone wall that adds weight and texture, while continuous millwork panels keep the composition light. A wooden slatted element brings rhythm and porosity, marking transitions without closing the plan.

The kitchen continues that same vocabulary. Marble appears on the countertops and main surfaces, meeting the warmth of the wood millwork in a balance of solidity and softness. The result is a calm flow between mineral surfaces and natural materials, with each element reinforcing the apartment’s organization.

Private rooms extend the same atmosphere with a quieter register. In the master suite, vertical panels, an upholstered headboard, and indirect lighting build comfort into the room. The closet uses bronze reflective glass doors and integrated lighting to add depth, while the bathroom pairs light marble, organically shaped mirrors, and zenithal light for a softer, more continuous feel.

Across the apartment, the material choices remain consistent and precise. The project turns texture and proportion into the main points of emphasis, shaping a home that feels grounded, open, and closely tied to contemporary ways of living.
