Its design is a combination of classic elegance and modern approach. Its main elements such as the custom designed pivot elements, high bar countertop, extra-large marble center tables, hovering fireplace, and mirrors create a sequence of interrelated atmospheres. To bring in one of the marble tables, the façade was unmounted. The master bedroom is structured only by detached wardrobes and sliding partitions. The apartment is splashed with bright bold colored elements and natural materials such as oak and teak pavements, marble and granite countertops, and ceramic coverings. All furniture such as closets, low tables, and working desks were custom designed. The kitchen, flooded with natural light, has become a place for dining, reading, socializing, or working.

La Escocesa is a modern guest house located on 25 de Mayo, Argentina and designed by Dub I Diseño & Sustentabilidad in 2022.
Situated in the flat plains of the ‘Pampas’ in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, this house was built to be flexible and to support a family home. The house consists of four modules: a large kitchen/dining room; a two-bedroom module; a split-bathroom module; and a large multi-purpose space in the attic. Low or no maintenance materials were chosen for the building envelope, as well as environmental design strategies to require very little air conditioning throughout the year. The central patio serves as the nucleus of union of all the parts of the house, providing an outdoor distribution hall and a space for meeting and contemplation of the surrounding landscape.

The design centers around an outdoor courtyard that serves as a connecting agent, allowing the separate living spaces to communicate with each other and the sun-soaked hearth of the home. A glazed walkway serves as a reflective layer of contrast between old and new, forming a lustrous perimeter along two internal facades. The walkway’s opacity changes throughout the day, creating different effects and views of the surrounding village. On the ground level, the dining and living areas look out to the courtyard, while tall cabinets punctuate the space, resembling minimalist boulders that double as doorways to tangential rooms.

My Twin Brother’s House is a two-story residence located in Ramat HaSharon, Israel, designed by Pitsou Kedem Architects in 2022.
This impressive structure is characterized by a solid architectural concrete façade and contrasting materials on the other three sides. The dynamic shutter system allows the occupants to control the amount of sunlight and privacy, while the linear open-tread white iron staircase gives open views from the basement all the way up to the full height of the house. An open white iron room divider/shelving system further emphasizes the unique design of this property, making Ramat HaSharon (an affluent town in central Israel) even more attractive for homebuyers.
