Special attention was given to the backyard with a sleek swimming pool, large French pocket windows, and the interior layout prioritizing social interaction. Noble materials enhance the sense of quality and timelessness. The design integrates indoor and outdoor spaces, offering a perfect balance of comfort, style, and practicality.

A wide central corridor pairs with nature-inspired artworks made with grating illumination technology in this Taipei apartment, creating two traffic flows that assemble art of illumination. Designed by Chains Interior, Light in the Wilderness was conceived for a vast space occupied by a couple and their four children, so privacy and entertainment were both prioritised within the area’s structure.

Between Lake and Forest by LOCUS architecture+design

Montreal-based practice LOCUS architecture+design has perched this contemporary home on a rocky outcrop overlooking Lac Cupidon in Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, Quebec, Canada. Named Between Lake and Forest, the 3,600-square-foot house features a dark, upper volume resting upon an exposed concrete plinth, with large window openings and two fully glazed projections that extend toward the lake and surrounding trees. The residence was conceived as a tranquil retreat for its owners, away from their busy urban lives.

Milano Risorgimento is an apartment located in Milan, Italy, designed by Francesca Cutini of studiododici in 2023. This residential interior design project involved renovating and transforming a classic, historic home within a late 19th-century building into a contemporary space with a touch of French allure. The original materials, such as oak parquet and stucco, were preserved while incorporating modern furnishings to create a functional and modern living environment.

Spazio24 Apartment by Sara D’Innocenzo

Italian designer Sara D’Innocenzo has completely reworked the Spazio24 apartment in Rome, transforming it into a home characterised by an agora-style central living space and spatial design elements. Placing the music-playing device with an “outer space” look at the centre of the home, she incorporated more playful and futuristic geometric forms, including a crystal dining table and Magis-Puppy seating. Bold colours such as green and orange also permeate the interior, contrasting with the wooden surfaces.

The house exterior of this home in Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium, is reflected in the interior space, thanks to a carved wavy texture that Benoit Viaene brought into the design. This Destudio interior design in Valencia, Spain, centers around views over the old Turia riverbed. Ático Curvo features a glass facade, living room, kitchen and bedrooms that share the view, and further blur indoors and outdoors with a terrace replicating interior functions. A sculptural staircase uncovers construction details. This design also features a sloping roof, natural wood ceiling, soft-toned mortar walls, double-height ceiling, solarium, outdoor bath, open kitchen, black curved iron surfaces and natural wood.
