A mixture of historical décor and modern artworks feature among a refreshed look at Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne Northbank unveiled by TFE Hotels.

Led by interior design studio In Design International, all 108 rooms have been rearranged to maximise available space. The Nest by Shaun Lockyer Architects

The Nest by Shaun Lockyer Architects

The Nest is a family home tucked away on a large bush block that combines an enviable combination of city views and an acreage lifestyle within the inner-city of Brisbane, Australia. The house draws its inspiration from modern roots, expressed through the juxtaposition of heavy vertical and light horizontal planes. A palette of sandblasted concrete, Spotted Gum timber and natural stone create a robust, warm and timeless aesthetic.

Oikos Retreat by Robert Nichol and Sons

Oikos Retreat by Robert Nichol and Sons

Set on a startlingly beautiful elevation on this sprawling Breakneck Gorge property, not far outside the tourist hotspot of Hepburn Springs (Australia), Oikos Retreat was designed as an indulgent retreat from the city.

Evoking the red centre of this great southern land, it’s a sculptural creation that both complements and disappears into the rugged, precipices on which it perches. Inside, smartly designed spaces are, from every angle, framed by stunning picture windows peeking out onto gum trees. From the sleek soaking bath to the cowhide daybed, every aspect of Oikos is conceived as a peaceful surrender.
