About Loft in Paris
From Boutique to Bohemian Home: A Parisian Revival
In Paris’s vibrant 20th arrondissement, a creative transformation has turned an old boutique into a family home, maintaining its loft and workshop charm.
A Home Bathed in Light
Entering this unique, spacious home, the expansive depth and central light well immediately impress, bathing the interior in sunlight.
Moreover, the design ingeniously merges two houses under a zenithal glass roof, creating a stunning 6-meter-high (nearly 20 feet) patio. Here, a thriving Ficus Lyrata and a living room with a bohemian flair find their perfect home.
Blending Function with Industrial Style
The agency reimagined the house layout to include a master suite and bedrooms for five children, cleverly addressing the natural light challenge. Additionally, true to the home’s industrial roots, workshop-style glass partitions appear throughout the space.
In the living area, the polished concrete floor offers a sleek contrast to the bedrooms’ light oak parquet. Soft grays and blues also flow seamlessly through the rooms, unifying the design.
Finally, custom-built elements like the kitchen, under-stair storage, wardrobes, and beds maximize space use. They beautifully complement a mix of industrial furniture, upcycled items, and graphic, poetic décor, giving the home a unique and captivating character.
