About Villa Geef
A Villa Birthed from Unique Beginnings
Nestled in the outskirts of Sondrio (SO, Italy), Villa GEEF emerged from an unexpected setting. Historically, this spacious lot catered to electric company employees, offering a building flanked by playgrounds.
Yet, beneath this ordinary facade, the site’s vastness hinted at remarkable potential. Moreover, the encompassing mountainous vistas, adorned with Valtellina’s signature vineyards, added to its charm. Although the client’s initial vision leaned towards a multi-level villa, Damilanostudio Architects had a different perspective. They proposed a single-story design, emphasizing both comfort and an uninterrupted gaze over the vineyards and private park.
A Harmonious Blend of Spaces
Artfully, the villa marries two distinct sections. These sections, bridged by a covered porch, align perfectly with the lot’s entrance. On one side, you’re greeted by the garage and a cozy guesthouse. Meanwhile, on the other, the owner’s luxurious residence awaits. This balanced design not only ensures functionality but also resonates with the breathtaking surroundings.
