About The Eleven House

Discover The Eleven House: A Timeless Blend

Nestled in Peratallada, one of Empordà’s captivating medieval corners, The Eleven House proudly emerges. Crafted by the visionary interior architect Susanna Cots, this dwelling not only radiates with a modern, minimalistic allure but also, and perhaps more profoundly, cherishes its ancient roots.

Ground Floor: A Dance of Eras

Encompassing a spacious 140-m2 (1,507 sq ft) and whispering tales from 1700, this home unfolds across three intriguing strata. Each level, in turn, narrates a distinct epoch. Venturing into the ground floor, which seamlessly extends to the Calle Mayor (Main Street), one is instantly embraced by the chic ambiance of a designer boutique — a magnet for aficionados in Baix Empordà. Moreover, as you immerse yourself deeper, curated designs dedicated to home elegance and personal luxury unfurl. Interestingly, beyond the tangible grandeur of curated brands and Susanna Cots’ masterpieces, the very essence of the space is etched in its historical walls.

During the meticulous restoration, a hidden chapter of Peratallada’s medieval wall, tracing back to the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, gracefully revealed itself. Recognizing its monumental significance, Cots seamlessly integrated this treasure into her design narrative. Then, as you ascend to the first floor, a state-of-the-art kitchen beckons, primed for an array of culinary adventures. Next to it, Bulthaup’s “Solitaire” majestically showcases the “Onze” ceramic tribute to The Eleven House.

Adjacent to this gastronomic hub, a cozy dining sanctuary awaits, eager to host eleven guests. Following this, a snug living room, accentuated by a warming fireplace, offers an enclave for tranquility and contemplation. Furthermore, a thoughtfully positioned bathroom on this floor provides a dual gateway: a refreshing exit to the garden and a sly entryway to the boutique.

Lush Outdoors Meets Artistic Heights

Spanning a generous 100-m2 (1,076 sq ft) expanse, the outdoor realm offers a lavish porch, perfectly placed near the rear ingress. Within this setting, bespoke creations by Inma Bermúdez, finessed by Andreu Carulla, add character. Surrounded by this verdant haven, diverse events, from floral sessions to melodic serenades and curated wine sips, find their home. Simultaneously, Susanna Cots’ Cronek Lighting designs subtly infuse the ambiance, blending effortlessly with the flora.

Topping off this architectural marvel, the zenith floor stands as a paradigm of versatility. On certain days, it effortlessly transforms into a serene sanctuary for meditation and yoga. Conversely, on select Saturdays, it elegantly hosts delectable breakfasts or presents hearty afternoon indulgences. Yet, its crowning allure is undeniably its role as an art hub, having previously spotlighted luminaries like Conrad Roset, while tantalizingly teasing upcoming features from virtuosos such as Frédéric Forest and María Diamantes.
