About CASA SN
Noto’s Fresh Look: Old Meets New
In the heart of Noto, Sicily, there’s a fresh-looking home. Architect Salvatore Spataro, originally from Noto but now in Florence, gave the villa a new twist. He opened up the space and added modern features. Every part of the house shows the teamwork between the designer, the owner, and local workers.
The Main Spot: Living Room
The living room is the highlight. It’s a bright, white room that feels both simple and modern. Big windows show off a green garden, which looks lovely against the home’s inside colors. The room uses a mix of smooth and rough materials, giving it a special feel. One wall, with its fun patterns, connects the eating and sitting areas. The big kitchen area stands out, especially with its cool hanging lights.
Upstairs: A Place to Work and Rest
When you go up, there’s a comfy study. It has a special bookshelf, perfect for reading and relaxing. Fun items, like an old Lambretta scooter, add charm. At the very top, you’ll find a bedroom and a wooden closet. This closet has built-in lights, making it feel up-to-date.
A Nod to the Past with Today’s Style
This house, after its makeover, perfectly mixes the owner’s likes with neat design touches. It finds a sweet spot between simple design and old-world beauty, celebrating Sicily’s long history.
