About Cedar Creek
Nestled Amid Nature: Cedar Creek Lake Retreat
Tucked within a wooded, 7-acre (about 28,328.7 square meters) site above Cedar Creek Lake, a series of structures elegantly sit just below the tree canopy, offering breathtaking lake views. A collaborative endeavor transformed a cherished family estate into a legacy destination, seamlessly blending architecture and nature.
A Masterful Plan Among Majestic Trees
The design strategically positions the main house, pavilion, tennis court, and garage barn amidst towering loblolly pines and live oaks. We nestled the primary residence within a dense grove, ensuring minimal tree disruption and optimal lake vistas.
Harmony in Material Choices
Throughout the project, a consistent materials palette of wood, stone, concrete, and weathered steel resonates with the native surroundings.
An Enchanting Entry Sequence
From a quiet country road, a weathered steel gate beckons. As it slides open, a 350-foot (106.7 meters) stone boulder wall emerges, guiding visitors towards the distant home. Descending the cobblestone driveway to a gravel motor court, this wall’s grandeur grows while mature trees punctuate its surface, offering glimpses of the residence and landscape.
Nature and Design in Perfect Tandem
Opposite the wall, allée elms amplify the driveway’s linear journey and offer contrast to the expansive site. Native plantings and added trees not only beautify but also ensure the site thrives for future generations.
