About Contemporary Apartment
Introducing the Designer Duo’s Creation
Mariella Minore, a renowned flower designer, and her husband Claudio De Leo, an esteemed interior designer, masterfully transformed a 1960s apartment in Gioia del Colle (Ba). They embarked on this journey with their daughter, Bianca.
Redefining Living Spaces
They reimagined the communal areas like the kitchen and living room. Moreover, they tailored intimate bedroom spaces for independent usage.
A Fusion of Vintage Materials
Their interior design centers around material selection. Oak parquet, Vienna straw from Cesca chairs, and Navona travertine in the kitchen stand out. Additionally, metal mesh dividers and Japanese raffia wallpapers bring memories of bygone eras. Yet, they cleverly adapt these materials to modern requirements.
Marrying Past with Present
Claudio’s designs, paired with select vintage pieces, establish a dialogue between eras. Consequently, the rooms speak a contemporary language, never overshadowing the apartment’s innate charm.
