About Casa DC
A Revitalized Apartment in Monopoli
Silvia and Vitangelo’s apartment resides in a late 1970s building in Monopoli. The primary goal of the project was to breathe new life into the 150-square-meter (1,614-square-foot) space by reorganizing its layout and connecting the living and sleeping areas.
Transforming Living Spaces for Enhanced Conviviality
The redesign completely transformed the apartment, emphasizing social spaces like the kitchen and living area. By reconfiguring the layout and views, the design separates the living and sleeping areas for improved functionality.
Harmonious Material Choices for a Cozy Atmosphere
Key to the project’s success was the thoughtful selection of materials. The use of oak parquet flooring, arranged in an Italian herringbone pattern, provides a decorative touch while unifying the space. This subtle design element creates an inviting and harmonious atmosphere that truly feels like home.
