Eco Tróia Resort – Casa III by GSS Arquitectos
The Pestana Tróia Eco-Resort & Residence, located in the paradisiacal Peninsula of Tróia (Portugal) has a perfect natural setting, its own decoration and a privileged location that provide its guests with a unique experience. The construction of all Villas, designed in an ecological way, seeks to respect the natural habitat of the animals and conserve the important existing species, minimizing the environmental impact and encouraging the rationalization of resources.
Description
The landscape remains: A dune partially covered with low native vegetation, some tall pines and timid canopy.
The terrain is practically flat with a slight upward slope towards the sea. Very extensive, which is why we chose to design a single-storey house that extends to the west.
The entrance to the house is located laterally and in the middle of the construction, leaving the bedroom area behind and the social area to the front (understand, the area facing the sea). In this facade, the house opens in large glazed openings to the outside, allowing to enter in a natural way, in the surrounding landscape. The pergola of light structure and covered by a slatted geometric wood, originates a projection of light / shadow beams that creates distinct environments throughout the day.
