House Ad by Didonè Comacchio Architects
House Ad is a modern two-story house located in Rosà, Italy, designed in 2022 by Didonè Comacchio Architects.
Description
Single house in the countryside for a young couple. The project comes from ‘the idea of a pure volume, which follows the archetype of the monolithic house. The 1960s dwelling is partially demolished, maintaining two bodies made of concrete and stone. The new building is integrated with the context by aligning with the surrounding buildings and keeping intact the existing volumetric hierarchy through a functional internal spatial arrangement. Particular attention was paid to the study of the reinterpretation of the pitched roof. The main body of the building, where the idea of a house is archetyped to the maximum, is enclosed by a large slab supported by simple elements, both in reinforced concrete cast on site on wooden formwork osb.Inside, the spaces are of contained dimensions and optimized to accommodate the young family living there.
