About Rivaparc Renovation Apartment
Transforming Spaces: A Ho Chi Minh City Gem
This project rejuvenates a 75 m2 (807 ft2) apartment by KenhTe Canal in Ho Chi Minh City. The primary goal? Crafting a co-living studio for an owner with a penchant for plants and books. Naturally, this beckoned a distinctive open-space design awash with southern light.
Landscape Interiors: Breathing Life Into Spaces
We aimed to craft a landscape-like interior. A topography where objects—house plants, furniture, books, and carpets—hover over a luminous, neutral grey epoxy floor.
Embracing Equality: Designing for Inanimate and Living
On this neutral canvas, architecture’s fundamentals give prominence to the owner’s possessions. It’s a shift from traditional design—focusing instead on a multi-centered field. This viewpoint highlights the owner’s daily dance with his surroundings—plants and furniture alike.
Redefining Home: A Journey of Intimacy and Inclusion
In this apartment, the owner’s connection becomes unconventional. He doesn’t seek dominance over space. Instead, he fosters a contemplative bond, intertwining with the objects around him. This immersive design blurs the line between owner and object, with no space to obscure anything. Thus, every item assumes the role of a showcased piece.
Displaying Self: Memories Etched in Space
The curated landscape ultimately externalizes memories and self, presenting a unique narrative of home.
