Villa White is a house located in Sotogrande, Spain. Designed by local company ARK Architects, the house is characterized by various accommodation facilities, such as massage treatment rooms or libraries, that are also effortlessly integrated into the home layout. The white home rises and engages with the Andalusian landscape, offering garden views over the fairways of Almenara Golf Course and the Mediterranean beyond.
Elegant Living Spaces Overlook Views of the Mediterranean Sea
According to ARK Architects, Villa White was designed with a floor plan that maximizes garden views over the fairways of Almenara Golf Course and the Mediterranean Sea. The open-plan layout of the home allows for a flow between the various functional spaces, including a recreation area on the lower floor equipped with several massage and spa services, as well as a gym.
Villa White Includes Spa and Gym as Well as Library Spaces
The layout of Villa White includes an ample living room area, a TV lounge with a fully equipped service kitchen and laundry, and detached guest pavilions that open to the exterior. Amenities on the lower floor include a cinema and pool table. A Jacuzzi, plunge pool, and minute swimming pool are included in the spa area. Villa White also has a private gym, massage treatment room, sauna, and steam room.
ARK Architects Built an Office Space on the Lower Floor
Other amenities on Villa White’s lower floor include an elevator for easier access to all three floors. This floor also includes a recreational area with a water feature and a bodega. On the main floor, an office building is tucked away from the living areas, offering privacy for work and study.
Villa White Rises over Landscaped Gardens
The white-washed villa stands out among the green foliage of the garden while complementing the blue sky and Mediterranean sea on the horizon. The horizontal volume in which the programs are arranged contrasts with the vertical and sinuous nature of the fauna. Paths through the landscaped gardens provide circular geometry through the lawn, connecting users to an outdoor, subterranean tennis court.
