Description by P+0 Architecture

A house for people with dogs requires a large amount of open space; even more so when its inhabitants are big fans of plants and outdoor activity.

For this project, open space is maximized with a void/full project that leaves half of the plot open. The house overlooks the void which is the garden. Additionally, a linear staircase communicates between every level.

Both levels are free from unnecessary walls and fully integrate house and garden with the help of sliding glass surfaces and wooden doors that hide inside the walls.

The reciprocity of exterior and interior space, added to the minimal use of divisions, turns the project into an “Über-Loft;” a continuous space that stretches horizontally and vertically, relating interior and exterior.

When seen from outside the “purist” initial idea, in contact with the terrain, becomes more complex and creates a “zig-zag image” with the placement of terraces, stairs, and living spaces.
