Located in Hangzhou, China, House in Longmen is a contemporary real estate project designed by The Design Institute of Landscape & Architecture China Academy of Art Co. in 2021.

Nestled in the outskirts of Longmen Ancient Town, the house is an example of how to balance economical construction and energy savings while embracing traditional and modern architecture. Local materials and craftsmanship have been used to respect the natural environment and create a connection with the local culture. Reinforced concrete frames and cedar roof frames are combined with local natural wood and stone to create a modern interior design that also reduces energy consumption.

With the possibility of future B&B operations in mind, House in Longmen is a project that seeks to revive the values of place and countryside through design and create comfortable and pleasant dwellings for the villagers.

The house is designed with a contemporary style, boasting an ‘U’ shape design, semi-open spaces, large windows, and a water element to create a subtle dialogue between open and closed spaces, private and public. High-quality materials like white walls, wooden floors, white metals, natural anodization on the frames, grey plates, and stone from Markopoulo are used to bring the design to life, with planting of Greek flowers and trees providing the finishing touches.

Located in Tbilisi, Georgia, Furrow is an apartment with a stunning monochromatic design. Created by Stipfold in 2022, this real estate features a minimalist design style with Calacatta marble as the dominant material, complemented by other materials in the same tone.

The common room offers a beautiful view of Vake Park and is bordered by stained glass windows and gray blinds. The furniture was carefully selected to complement the design concept, with marble-topped tables, leather armchairs and sofas, bar stools and various accessories throughout the apartment. A sleek sink designed by Stipfold also serves as a visually striking element in the bathroom. Artificial lighting is used to create various moods and atmospheres in the space.

173 West Broadway, a stunning loft-townhouse hybrid located in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood, has been recently completed by TRA Studio.

This diminutive structure, originally a manufacturing loft building dating from the 1890s, offers retail on the first floor and two duplex rental residences with three full bedrooms on the upper floors. The interior design pays homage to the minimal aesthetic of the old manufacturing building with modern amenities such as exposed brick, walnut flooring, mahogany windows, aluminum, marble, and lacquered millwork. The corner atelier oriel also provides a stunning view of the Freedom Tower, adding an extra layer of luxury to this already remarkable property.

This unique real estate property, surrounded by traditional Taiwanese rustic-stone-washed-finish monolithic exterior walls, encircling linear balconies, and situated in the subtropical climate of Taiwan, offers a comfortable inner environment and a flexible open space for its inhabitants.

The interior design features raw materials such as birch plywood for storage constructions, cement board for walls, and bare concrete surface for the pillars. The whole flooring is applied on the same light gray tiles, creating the sense of a single, big, continuous space without specific zoning. This allows the inhabitants to add their own vintage furniture, art, and plants without disrupting the minimalist aesthetic.
