Situated in the stunning scenery of Victoria, Canada, the Grotto House crafted by Greenway Studio Architecture seamlessly fuses human living environments with the untamed charm of its natural backdrop. Finished in 2023, this dwelling converts an otherwise daunting outdoor landscape into a serene habitat. The design philosophy of Grotto House spotlights sustainability and synergy with the natural landscape, showcasing a versatile open interior that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The project originates from a design competition for the renovation of a penthouse apartment in an early 20th-century building near Villa Torlonia in Rome. The Casa Ance apartment is intended as a guest residence for the Italian national association of building companies, and the project addressed the need for a clear distinction between the “public” and private areas of the house to serve both as a private residence and a venue for meetings and gatherings.

Casa Myhrer Hauge, located in Oslo, Norway, designed by Gudmundur Jonsson Arkitektkontor, transcends mere aesthetics by intertwining nature with architecture. In the heart of Hyderabad, where a vibrant metropolis effortlessly blends old-world charm with modernity, stands ‘Equinox’, a unique residence that redefines contemporary living. Designed by Studio Nilasha, this high-rise apartment was crafted for a young couple. The home beautifully blends their diverse cultural backgrounds, combining the practicality of urban Indian living with Dutch-inspired aesthetics. The result is a harmonious fusion of clean lines, a neutral palette, and functional design.

Daily Vacation is located in Kaohsiung, China. Designed by TaG Living, this house features a vacation home design style. Rising nearly 265 meters high, this is the tallest luxury residential building in Taiwan, integrating residential and five-star hotel functions vertically to provide different residents their respective suitable living spaces with much emphasis on an overall layout below waist height.

Casa Infinity is a project developed on one of the most famous beaches of Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica. The design, led by K10 Studio was completed in 2021. With a clear intention towards spaces that merges both the interior and exterior, the house centers around an infinity pool, integrating social areas with high-end minimalist finishes that evoke a sense of comfort, breathing spaces, and self-exploration.

Located in Montuïri, Spain, Casa Periscopio is a house designed by Luis Arredondo in 2024. The project was defined by the poor condition of the existing building, the low value of the plot, and the desire for views behind the neighbouring walls, emphasising light and vertical expansion as main concepts.

In Lisbon, [i]da arquitectos designed Casa do Poço, a house that retains original architectural elements from its 1940s context and emphasises constructive contradictions. The residence, situated in the Encarnação neighbourhood – a small house scheme built as a public initiative to address a housing shortage in the city – features a simplicity celebrated by a preserved façade and a restructured interior that accommodates a courtyard and an outbuilding.
