FF Apartment Combines Two Residences into Unified Space

The FF Apartment, designed by Zalc Arquitetura, blends a striking industrial style with warm elements in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Combining two 50 m² apartments into a 100 m² space, the design utilizes materials like handmade hydraulic tiles and charred wood to create a cozy atmosphere amidst the predominance of sober tones, such as black and exposed concrete.

Grün Haus redefines the balance between tranquillity, functionality, and contemporary architectural expression, seamlessly integrating storage solutions while maintaining openness and fluidity. Designed in Malta by studio NiCHE, the project harnesses natural light, enhanced by carefully selected materials that diffuse and reflect illumination, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere within the apartment.

The project embodies a minimal aesthetic with impactful spatial composition, optimising spatial adaptability, and seamlessly transitioning between functional areas.

Perched on a bluff overlooking a meandering estuary, the Galien River Retreat house in New Buffalo, MI, is designed by Wheeler Kearns Architects, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere while integrating both modern and serene elements. Expressed glulam structure and weathered gray Accoya wood siding were selected for their ability to weather and wear beautifully over time, while the home offers a calm design response to urban pressures.
