Welcome to House JC, an impressive two-story house designed in 2022 by Portuguese architect Mário Alves and located in the hillside of Quinta da Portea, Coimbra, Portugal.
This modern house was designed to take full advantage of the breathtaking views and excellent sun exposure while maintaining privacy. The house was designed around the idea of mass subtraction and decomposition to create outdoor spaces within the volume itself, merging the interior with the exterior. Its white materiality exposes the simplicity of the design and the plan, connecting the surrounding green space with the interior of the house, making it a true element of the local landscape.
KT5 Apartment is a modern 120 square meters (1292 sq ft) 5 bedrooms apartment located in Giv‘atayim, Israel. It was designed by Studio ETN in 2021 to fit the changing needs of a young family of five.
The apartment was designed to maximize public space with a neutral design and durable materials. It also has a versatile room to serve as a playroom, computer room, TV room, and additional storage. To complete the modern and minimalistic interior, the apartment has a secondary living room to the balcony overlooking the towers of the city.

This modern residence offers sweeping views of the Housatonic Valley, with a large wrap-around deck and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The interior features durable and low-maintenance materials like dark bamboo floor, maple cabinets, black quartz countertops, and large format floor and wall tiles. The Sharon Residence is a high-performance building envelope, combining closed cell spray foam and batt insulation, geothermal energy, solar-ready roof and a wood-burning stove.

Designed by Studio ETN in 2022, this stunning family home of five plus two dogs was completely renovated, with the challenge of creating an open, accessible space with respectable passages in the public space while maintaining intimacy for all the apartment’s rooms.
The kitchen was designed as an integral part of the public space and classic shades in the spirit of modern design were used throughout the apartment. To maximize the beautiful view of Tel Aviv, neutral and calm furniture was selected to keep the view as unobstructed as possible.

This 250 square meter (2,690 square feet) house is spread over four levels, and offers plenty of space for a couple whose children left the nest. The first floor features the new, fully equipped kitchen with an interesting wooden covering and a two-sided partition with a fireplace. The second and third levels house two suites and the master suite respectively, and the fourth floor is a well-equipped home gym. Additionally, the garden features a deck and a eating area with travertine-like porcelain tiles.

As you enter the property, you will be greeted with three distinct volumes—a soft vertical timber-lined box with a hidden garage door, a hard tiled roof and wall, and a sculptural Corten steel portal. Passing through the portal, you are welcomed to a clean, pure, and unoccupied gallery space.
Descending into the house, you will find a series of living spaces terraced with the contours of the site, all with captivating views over the waters of Cass Bay. This space has a strong connection to the outdoor living decks which also terrace with the land, containing intimate living, dining, cooking, and bar leaner areas.

Designed by Tormen Architekten in 2022, the house opens up to the south with targeted interventions, featuring a large seating area that wraps around the main building like a meander. From the seating area, one can elegantly descend a few steps to the terrace deck with pool area and a wonderful view of the alpine landscape of the Eiger Mönch and the Jungfrau.
