About Long Horizontals
A Riverfront Retreat Inspired by Nature
This home, inspired by the stunning St. Lawrence River estuary, sits on a rocky headland with beautiful views. It’s built on a steep slope, discreet from the street but completely open to the river, extending towards the horizon.
Unique Inverted Layout for Comfort and Views
The house’s layout is unique, with bedroom suites on the garden level, anchored in concrete and the landscape. The ground level houses living spaces in light wood, each leading to the next with varying heights for different activities.
The dining room, surrounded by windows, extends from the main building, reaching towards the horizon. Vertical concrete chimneys strikingly contrast with the glass openings and light wooden structures on an overhang, enhancing the landscape view.
Blending Architecture with the Landscape
This home beautifully blends its structure with the surrounding scenery. It captures the essence of the St. Lawrence River, merging indoor luxury with the splendor of the natural world outside.
