The Military Hospital project, a stunning renovation on Antwerp’s South-East side, transforms a historic site. Formerly the “doctor’s house” of Antwerp’s military hospital, am designs has reimagined this building over 18 months, honoring its architectural past.
A Modern Showcase in a Historic Neighborhood
Nestled in “Groen Kwartier,” the building neighbors esteemed locales like the Michelin-starred “The Jane” and the charming hotel August. This vibrant neighborhood blends history with modern culinary and hospitality experiences.
Currently, the house serves as a private showroom for am designs. It displays high-end brands such as Knoll, Vola, and Bassam Fellows, alongside am designs’ premium furniture. The interior, with its minimal white base, highlights the iconic furniture. The design allows each piece to stand out, drawing immediate attention.
Bright Spaces, Timeless Elegance
This house is a mosaic of rooms, each bathed in light and exuding brightness. The large windows and thoughtful design ensure a luminous atmosphere in every space, showcasing the seamless blend of modern and historical elements.
