About Pattern House
Revitalizing Light: A Home Transformed
Previously dark and worn, the terrace house required an extensive refresh. To capture daylight optimally, we removed the existing kitchen and added a single-story extension. Consequently, a large roof light now floods the new open-plan dining area with sunshine. Additionally, glazed doors open to the patio, creating an unbroken link from inside to outside.
Elevated Elegance: The Master Bath Retreat
Moreover, the renovation introduced a new rear roof dormer, occupied by a master bathroom. Here, white-washed timber battens craft an ethereal veil over the stairway. This space also features custom joinery, showcasing brass accents, stained birch plywood, and marble, thus reflecting the Victorian era’s detail-oriented design.
A Tapestry of Textures and Hues
Furthermore, the house has been meticulously refurbished inside. Diverse colors and patterns create distinct atmospheres throughout. For instance, the living area presents oak floor planks in a herringbone pattern, offering a triad of tones. Similarly, the kitchen and patio interplay with bi-tonal porcelain tiles in four textures. Also, in the loft bathroom, marble tiles juxtaposed with stained oak planks delineate wet from dry areas. Finally, bespoke fixtures, some handcrafted by Moroccan artisans, sprinkle the house with unique elegance.
