About Sanlorenzo 460EXP

Introducing the Sanlorenzo 460Exp: Adventure Meets Luxury

Grand spaces on board promise safety and autonomy. The 460Exp breaks yacht boundaries, redefining adventure: exploring untouched destinations in safety, surrounded by the comfort of a superyacht. Every inch speaks to Sanlorenzo’s expertise, craftsmanship, and innovation.

An Ongoing Partnership

The 460Exp marks the continuation of the collaboration between Sanlorenzo and the Citterio Viel studio. This time, they’ve crafted the interior for the second yacht in the Explorer line.

Blurring the Lines: Inside Meets Outside

A hallmark of this project is the seamless flow between interior and exterior spaces. The designers have incorporated the hull’s design inside the yacht, establishing a direct link between naval architecture and living spaces. Essentially, the design reveals the yacht’s very nature.

For instance, in the master cabin, unique window shapes allow occupants to gaze outside even while lying in bed, without obscuring the hull’s side view.

Tailored Interiors with a Nautical Touch

Furniture, customized by names like B&B Italia, Flexform, and Flos, fits snugly within. TV units remain concealed and lighting embeds in the ceiling. Efficient space usage is evident with recessed storage, ensuring minimal clutter.

Rather than a typical residential feel, the yacht’s interior leans towards a marine ambiance. Materials chosen, like aluminum for structural elements, Canaletto walnut inside, and natural teak outside, evoke the sea and travel vibes. Leather finishes with exposed stitches add a worn-in touch, and raw canvas dresses several interior walls.

A Word from the Design Head

“The Explorer reimagines the exploration vessel, turning it into a sophisticated gem for serene and comfortable journeys,” says Sergio Buttiglieri, Sanlorenzo’s Head of Interior Design.

Superior Seaworthiness and Efficiency

Its high autonomy and greater sea stability compared to similar-sized vessels (but with limited draft) ensure efficient cruising even close to the coast.

Sanlorenzo’s Promise: Size and Reliability

A massive vessel, measuring 42.2 meters (138.45 feet) in length, it boasts spacious aft areas. Designed for long voyages, Sanlorenzo’s technologies guarantee its reliability.
