About Alice & il Vino
Alice & il Vino: A Bistrot-Cocktail Bar that Evokes the French ‘Bar-à-Vin’
The Alice & il Vino project brings the atmosphere of a French bar-à-vin to the popular Città Giardino neighborhood in Rome. Guests enter the venue through an outdoor space featuring seating, chairs and sofas. The left side of the room houses a large wooden cocktail-bar counter with iron stools. The opposite side holds a customized leather bench, wooden and marble tables, and reclaimed chairs. A shaped wine bar cabinet with open shelves made of burnished iron profiles stands at the back wall. A central olive tree provides a connection and filter between the seating areas. The restaurant also includes customer services, staff area, warehouse, and a cold deli preparation laboratory.
Retro Glamour Meets Classic Design
Alice & il Vino offers a unique, vaguely retro atmosphere. The seating area wall is covered with Glamora’s Boscage wallpaper, and classic materials and furnishings evoke 1920s bistro bars. Guests will notice the cement tiles in the entrance, custom furniture made from wood and iron, and handcrafted oak plank flooring. The interior design is a juxtaposition of pendant lamps, wall sconces, upholstered benches, reclaimed chairs and tables, iron stools, and open display elements for wines and decorative objects.
