About Ivory House

A Tranquil Family Home in Melbourne

Nestled in Melbourne’s leafy southeastern suburbs, the Ivory House serves as a calming oasis for Romy Dankner, creative director of Homeroom Studios, and her family of five. The home features a warm and soothing color palette, along with refined, textural pieces that create a sense of tranquility.

Collaboration with Skilled Artisans

Working alongside various skilled artisans, Dankner crafted a timeless haven for her family. She says, “As the designer and client, designing my own home was no small feat. Embracing the abundance of natural light and wanting to make the pool an extension of the home, I allowed for a restrained, pared-back interior palette that brought many of the outdoor materials inside. I believe the ivory brick and almond concrete encourage a seamless and contemporary aesthetic.”
