Casa Campari: A Lakeside Beauty in Switzerland with Unparalleled Views
Delve into the architectural grandeur of Casa Campari, a slender, lakeside gem in Porto Ronco, Switzerland. Overlooking the stunning Lake Maggiore and the captivating Brissago Islands, this remarkable creation by Kollektiv Marudo artfully marries a sleek modern aesthetic with its traditional Ticino rustico roots.
This house, redesigned in 2022, celebrates the original 1941 room sequence while also accommodating the comforts of contemporary living, and showcases the transformation of a rustic guest house through minimalistic design and ingenuity.
About Casa Campari
The Idyllic Lakeside Property
Nestled between the road and the lake, the slender property affords a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore and the Brissago Islands. The pre-existing structures, a primary dwelling and an age-old Ticino rustico, stand in harmonious unity.
Preserving Tradition with a Modern Touch
Rather than shunning its roots, the 1941 room sequence concept not only survives but also thrives, enhanced and invigorated. The addition of a contemporary bedroom and tweaks to the existing layout facilitate modern living. Remarkably, these changes occur without disrupting the house’s traditional facade facing the lake.
Breathing New Life into the Rustico
In contrast, the Ticino rustico undergoes an imaginative transformation. We executed a meticulous renovation, coupled with a minimal concrete extension, converting it into an inviting, compact guest house.
Innovative Connectivity: From Parking Deck to Property
To round off the property’s unique charm, we installed a delicate lift tower. This innovative feature smoothly links the newly-built parking deck to the main property, fusing utility with style.
