About Sky Villa
Mumbai’s Luxury Elevated
Sitting high above Mumbai, this 32nd-floor penthouse blends modern design with stunning views. From here, you get a full 360-degree look at the city. To the west, you see the vast Arabian Sea meeting the famous South Bombay twin towers. On the other side, a peaceful harbor view provides a calming scene, letting residents relax in peace.
Design That Dissolves Boundaries
Once you step inside, the design goal is clear: connect the inside with the outside. Tall windows, reaching up to 12.5 feet (151 inches), bring in lots of light and make the outside feel close. This penthouse is the owner’s dream of a modern city home, marked by simple lines, clear beauty, and open spaces.
Prachiti Khanvilkar from PKD Studio wanted a place where every corner showed the city. The central staircase, placed just right, also makes sure you always see Mumbai’s skyline.
Challenges Met With Determination
Big projects face big challenges. The COVID-19 lockdown caused a 2.5-month delay. But the team didn’t give up and found ways to keep going. The design depended on the right building methods and materials. Glass railings blend into the views, and removing a wall added to the open feel. A stand-alone staircase, paired with two windows, highlights the space without blocking any views.
Dual-layered Elegance
The penthouse has two main levels, each with its own feel. The first level has big living spaces, kids’ rooms, and a family room for everyone. A curved staircase lets you see the sky without any blocks.
Move up, and you’ll see even more of Prachiti’s design work. The top level has a grand master bedroom with all the comforts and a terrace. The best part of this outdoor area? A cozy two-seat Jacuzzi, great for enjoying the city’s lights.
Personalized Touches
The design has hints of African wildlife, like monkey wallpapers and deer decorations. Each room has its own colors and feel. The kids’ room uses warm colors instead of the usual blues. A bold black room reflects a young girl’s style. The prayer room showcases art from Rajasthan, connecting to cultural roots. At the center, the kitchen, inspired by English homes, stands as a place for family moments.
All in all, this penthouse mixes art, nature, and modern design. It shows how city living can be upgraded, all thanks to Prachiti Khanvilkar’s great ideas.
