About GVLE Apartment
Capturing Nature’s Essence in Urban Design
The design of this apartment centers on the breathtaking views of a nearby gorge. These vistas not only inspire but also deepen the connection with the outdoors. Reflecting on this, Rafael Aranda of RCR arquitectes remarked at MEXTROPOLI 2018, “Nature is our muse. It is crucial to let our spaces echo the day’s passage.”
A terrace extends along the apartment, emphasizing these views. Additionally, it fosters dynamic interactions between spaces, enhancing the overall experience.
Seamless Space Integration for Modern Living
The kitchen, positioned as the focal point, opens up to surrounding areas through sliding wooden doors, thus creating an expansive feel. Moreover, the adjacent spaces, adorned with continuous planes and wood wainscoting, add a rhythmic flow. These elements also produce playful light effects, capturing the essence of time.
Furthermore, the design’s versatility allows for a variety of spatial compositions. The interplay of contrasting materials lends warmth and life to each area, seamlessly transitioning from public to private zones.
A Symphony of Marble and Wood
Predominantly featured marble in floors and walls contrasts with the solidity of wood volumes. Additionally, the fluted marble creates a dance of light and shadows, visualizing the passage of time.
Moreover, this attention to detail extends to every aspect of the design. Even the furniture, partly our design, plays into the theme of camouflage, hiding essentials while optimizing space functionality.
In conclusion, the apartment transcends mere living spaces. It offers experiences that invite observation and enjoyment, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal.
